Elliott Mwamba Oil & Gas Investments (EMOGI) was formed on September 15, 2011, as a Texas corporation. Our core or primary business is OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT.
The oil and gas business is comprised of three basic sectors: upstream, midstream, and downstream. Upstream is involved with the extraction and then the production of the oil and gas from the reservoirs. Midstream is the transportation of the oil and gas off the well site premises. Natural gas is transported through gas pipelines. Oil is generally transported by tanker trucks, except from the largest of producing fields. The gas via pipelines and oil from trucks are processed at refineries, which is the downstream function. Refineries process the oil into gasoline, motor oil, diesel, jet fuel and numerous industrial purposes, plastics, etc. Gas refineries process and distribute the gas to electrical power companies to generate electricity, factories to be used in industrial processes, i.e. steel mills, food processing companies, etc., or for use in homes and businesses.
EMOGI elects to concentrate mainly on the upstream sector, which deals with the extraction and production of oil and gas. There are high risk projects that include “Wildcat Wells,” which are largely in remote areas away from existing production, and high cost operations such as horizontal drilling, deeper/high pressure wells, offshore wells, etc., and as a general rule, we will not pursue these kinds of deals change to this kind of higher risks business.

J. Kelly Elliott, Jr. / ELLIOTT OIL & GAS COMPANY / Joint Venture Partner
J. Kelly Elliott, Jr. graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering (1974) from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
Upon graduation, he spent his first two years in the drilling and workover department, designing well programs and providing onsite well supervision for Exxon, in the East and South Texas regions. After leaving Exxon, he worked the next two years for Quintana Petroleum, a large independent oil company out of Refugio, Texas. His responsibilities were handling the engineering and operations of six to eight workover and completion rigs, working continuously in the south Texas area. In the late 1970’s until 1984, he worked for two large independent funded companies being Longhorn Oil & Gas and Damson Oil Company. His responsibilities were designing programs as a drilling and new completions engineer and providing onsite well supervision.
During these first ten years, Kelly acquired the engineering and operations experience of drilling and completing various types of wells. They included air drilling wells, directional wells, deep and high pressure oil and gas wells, including H2S wells requiring high pressure frac jobs, largely in the Gulf Coast Louisiana and Texas areas. Some work included the Rocky Mountain regions as well as Canada, providing the office well design engineering, including wellsite supervision.
In 1985, Kelly started his own company with the support of investors including his father, J. Kelly Elliott, Sr. Elliott Oil & Gas Company tends to concentrate in and around mature fields, by the acquisition of such properties. They are usually of lower risk nature with the philosophy that where there once was production of oil and gas, there may still be opportunities for the production of remaining oil and gas.
The company has the expertise to evaluate existing producing properties for the possibility of an acquisition, allowing for an immediate cash flow stream. His extensive experience in various artificial lift methods, hydraulic fracing, acidizing, and other chemical injections, along with varying types of production techniques can be utilized to enhance the production. He has the knowledge of drilling and completing new wells in old fields to restore production by utilizing more modern techniques that are currently available, as well as the operations of re-entering old P & A’d wells, sidetracking, repairing and working over existing wells.
Elliott Oil & Gas has operated several hundred wells over its 27 years with the average depths being 7,000’ to 14,000’, both low pressure and geo- pressured, low and high rates of flow and varying types of producing methods. Elliott Oil & Gas is a proficient operator in all aspects, including land and mineral acquisitions, engineering, production operations, accounting, regulatory, EPA and other governmental requirements. Elliott Oil & Gas maintains a solid reputation under the direction of Kelly Elliott.
